Located in the beautiful setting of the exclusive La Mandria Nature Reserve, a park that combines natural beauty, unparalleled climate and an outstanding level of courses at the foot of the Alps,
Royal Park I Roveri has been considered an environmental landmark since 1971, the year of its founding, thanks to its unique spaces and is the perfect habitat for local flora and fauna.
We comply with the most advanced sustainability assessment and certification program, a system that drastically reduces environmental impact and ensures residents' health and comfort.

We are proud of our work and our commitment to sustainability. Being GEO Certified® is synonymous with protecting the environment and preserving the indispensable resources the planet has to offer. Nature is our most precious asset and it is everyone’s duty to preserve its health. The path towards resource protection awareness is a further step towards a more sustainable future and the beauty of routes and landscapes also passes through this.

The GEO Certification is awarded by the GEO Foundation, the non-profit organisation dedicated to delivering programmes that support golf clubs to credibly assess, improve and communicate their sustainability work in the areas of nature, resources, community and climate action, and the comprehensive certification report testifies to their ongoing commitment to maintaining and pursuing the goal of sustainability.

LA MANDRIA NATURAL PARK

La Mandria Park is an environmentally protected area that preserves the most significant example of lowland forest in Piedmont, where various species of wild animals live freely. The presence of a considerable tree heritage is evidenced by the existence of both native and allochthonous plants.

Through our environmental management plan we actively pursue the conservation of the wetland. Our aim is to maintain an environment that protects the rare vegetation and provides a habitat for wildlife. Issues that the club actively manages and monitors include:

  • Water use and quality preservation
  • Soil conservation
  • Fauna and habitat
OUR BIODIVERSITY PROTECTION

The heterogeneity of the landscape, characterised by the alternation of forest and open spaces, together with the particular geographical position of La Mandria Park, enriches its naturalistic value; the proximity of the Alpine chain and the river courses of the Dora Riparia and Stura di Lanzo are, seasonally, the reason for the presence of migratory animal species over short and long distances.

The forest fauna has a high conservation value due to its completeness: in the ancient hunting reserve, the resident animal species range from birds of prey to ungulates, from ichthyofauna to reptiles.

There is no shortage of aquatic environments, mainly lakes, such as Lake Risera, which gives its name to the consortium of which the Royal Park I Roveri is part. All the wetlands constitute elements of ecological diversification, hosting a rich flora and constituting a source of resources for numerous animal species.

OUR SOCIAL INCLUSION INITIATIVES

We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to experience the joy of the game. That’s why we offer a variety of programs and services designed to make golf accessible to people of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds.

We regularly host events and programs that celebrate and promote cultural diversity, such as the Italian Open for Disabled in 2021, 2022 an the Open Day 2021, 2022 for athletes with disabilities to take up this wonderful sport, and we encourage our members to participate and learn from each other.

Royal Park I Roveri is the first club In Italy to have established both the Paralympic Competitive Team composed of athletes with physical disabilities and the Special Olympics Team composed of athletes with intellectual disabilities. The project was born in 2018 thanks to the collaboration with a local non-profit organization that specializes in organizing sports for children with intellectual disabilities: with the support of the professionals of the Edoardo Molinari Golf Academy, we began to engage in social sustainability, with a special focus on the world of disabilities.

Today about 15 athletes with intellectual disabilities train every week at our facilities, while with the Paralympic team, gatherings are organized throughout the year with the aim of analyzing, practicing and improving all areas of the game.

OUR CHARITY ACTIVITIES

We are committed to giving back to the community and making a positive impact on those in need. We are proud to support many charitable causes, including health care and research, education, animal welfare and environmental conservation.

We regularly partner with local and national organizations contributing through our sports activities to raise funds and awareness for important causes with the goal of making a positive impact on our community and future generations.

OUR SUSTAINABLE GROWTH

At our golf club we are committed to sustainable growth and to preserving the natural beauty of the land and the beautiful setting on which our two courses are born. We regularly review and update our course management practices to ensure that we are minimizing our impact on the environment promoting the health and well-being of our local community.

Each project we implement takes into account its life cycle and associated costs, incorporating local and recycled materials.

Together with our partners we pursue goals to responsibly address environmental issues and the resources available on our planet. As a company we do our part by investing in the development of energy resources, new technological installations with efficient energy performance, and in the management of consumption resulting from our activities.

OUR ECONOMIC IMPACT ON THE TERRITORY

We actively collaborate with local entities, organizations and suppliers to support growth and generate a positive impact throughout the area.

We adhere to and support competitive activities and prestigious international sports competitions aimed at raising awareness and promoting both the geographical area and the golf destination.

We create synergies with our partners through sharing the same values and an ongoing commitment to achieving environmental, social and economic sustainability. Our partnerships are aimed at promoting the activities of companies so that they can actively contribute to the growth and development of our facilities.
